Von Wu Ming wurde folgender Hinweis auf ein Interview mit Wu Ming von Henry Jenkins, Autor eines zentralen Werkes über das im Handbuch der Kommunikationsguerilla gewürdigten "Textual Poachings":

Henry Jenkins is the Director of the MIT Comparative Media Studies Program, and the author of such books as "Convergence Culture: Where Old and New Media Collide" and "Fans, Bloggers and Gamers: Exploring Participatory Culture".
We got in touch with him after reading "Convergence Culture" and being striken with lighting. If you take a look at his blog (or simply read the intro to the long interview we did with him), you'll understand why.
He sent us some very inspiring questions, and gave us the opportunity of looking back to all that we've done since the Luther Blissett days. We think we clarified a lot of issues that are important to us, and we also paid some dues. We acknowledged some sources of inspiration, and talked about some hoaxes which had been commented on only in Italian.

As Trekkies we share Gene Roddenberry's dream of a global civilisation in which diverse ideas and life forms are no longer a cause for war but have become the reason for individual and collective advancement. In 2004 earth time we are further away from this dream than many would have thought after the fall of the Berlin wall. In this light the coming elections of the president of the United States of America could be an important way mark on the long road to realising the dream of a Federation of the Planet Earth.
The Citizens of the United States of America will be electing their president on November 2nd and in this will be making a decision that concerns many people on this planet. With war, terror and global problems in ecological, medical, economical and social matters, much depends on the willingness of the remaining "superpower" to take on the responsibility for its political and economical importance. Time has long come for an America that is thinking and acting globally. An America, that can see solving global problems as an essential interest of the US citizens. Nevertheless, in the last four years we have seen an US administration that has been acting highly irresponsible: for example by blocking the Kyoto protocol, by neglecting the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians und finally by an invasion and occupation of Iraq against the will of the international community which lured this country and the occupation troops led by the US on to predicted chaos. And while even the US inspectors in the end confirmed that Iraq under Saddam Hussein did not have a program for the production of weapons of mass destruction, President George W. Bush is not able to recognise his mistakes and to adopt another curse of action.

Zur Kritik der Entenhausener Verhältnisse
I. Neues aus Entenhausen...
Im Zuge der fortgeschrittenen gesellschaftlichen Regression und dem Aufschwung der romantisch-antikapitalistischen Bewusstseinsform besinnen sich Leute, für die der Kapitalismus nur zweite Wahl ist, zum Teil eher reflexartig – das ist nichts Neues – auf die Segnungen der US-amerikanischen Zivilisation als liberaler Musterkultur. Es reicht aber nicht aus, durch offensive Verwendung US-amerikanischer Symbolik seine zweifelsfrei doofe Umwelt zu schockieren. Man sollte auch einen kritischen Blick auf die vom „gesunden Volksempfinden“ stigmatisierte Fracht werfen. Beide
Haltungen sind zwar dem antiamerikanischen Ressentiment vorzuziehen, genaueres Hinsehen verringert jedoch die Gefahr des bürgerlichen backlashs, i. e. die Gefahr der Verdrängung der kapitalistischen Katastrophe aus Angst vor derjenigen, welche sich seiner Überwindung (Vollstreckung) in der Volksgemeinschaft verschrieben hat. Nur so ist auch der eventuell vorhandene kritische Splitter in dem ein oder anderen Produkt des „Kapitalismus ohne schlechte(m) Gewissen“(1) zu erkennen. In diesem Text soll versucht werden, Entenhausen, eines der bekanntesten Produkte amerikanischer Kulturindustrie, daraufhin abzuklopfen und seine kritische Rezeption fragmentarisch zu beleuchten. Nicht nur, wer ein lückenloses Buchrückenpanorama stolz sein Eigen nennt, kann sich leicht eine Vorstellung machen von den gigantischen Ausmaßen, die ein solches Unterfangen annähme, wollte man es in seiner Gänze behandeln.
