Wiederholung von:
tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE, »Neoist Guide Dog«
Straßenaktion mit Gail Litfin (Litvinov),
London, 1984

He was traveling, he said, with a friend who is considered legally blind.

"When we were travelling together, I was her Seeing Eye dog. So I decided to do something to exploit the situation, to take her blindness, something depressing, and turn it into something positive and humorous." Tent explained.

"I bought [...] a harness and leash and I actually became the dog."

Because blind people with Seeing Eye dogs ride free on London buses, part of the improvisation was to see how the conductor would react. Tent crawled on all fours up the steps of the bus, his leash in the hand of his blind friend.

With true British stoicism, the conductor didn't bat an eye and walked right past them. They only reaction came as they were boarding the bus, from a real dog who barked at Tent in his German shepherd stance.

WARNING: THIS BOOK is NEW but it represents OLD ideas. Today we are doing something else and tomorrow we will be entirely different. You can sit down and read this book of OLD ideas, but it would be better if you get up and try to do something NEW. In your place, I would never accept a reactionary situation like this.

Graf Haufen, Neoismus und die Kontinuität der Befindlichkeiten
http://kommunikationsguerilla.twoday.net/stories/1339838/

Anti-Neoismus
http://kommunikationsguerilla.twoday.net/stories/801321/

Neoism has never been anything but

a bunch of 1980s bohemian postpunk losers and wannabe-artists around Kantor in Canada, a clique of decadent old clowns turned senile from doing the same things again and again for 25 years;

Home's and Marchart's avant-garde wet dreams and short-lived lowbrow attempts to rewrite the whole pathetic crap into some "conceptual" radical chic and shove it down the subversion-hungry throats of gullible college kids.

In either version, Neoism had zero artistic, intellectual or radical substance. Some people believed themselves to be oh so clever faking it, but their anal-retentive pretensions were even poorer than unabashed idiocy.

Forget Neoism, get a life.
ULTIMATE MANIFESTO OF NEOISM

Mal wieder so ein neoistisches Manifest:

Hello and welcome to Neoism, the international movement of games and total freedom. It may be difficult for the casual audience to understand or appreciate Neoism because Neoism is the vehicle of its own understanding. Neoism simply means that what is done in its name is simultaneously new ("neo") and established ("ism").
NEOIST WORLD CONGRESS plus NEOIST WORLD'S FAIR
OCTOBER 2005
<a href="http://neoist.org/NEOIST-WORLD-FAIR.html"target=new>Call for Avant-Garde Art

Dear prospective participant,

You might have asked yourself many times: What is Neoism, and how can I become a Neoist? The Neoist World's Fair now gives you the multiple opportunity to become a Neoist as well as a member of the International Post Dogmatist Group, The Fluxnexus, The International Society of Assemblage and Collage Artists and the Massurrealist Society of Mexico.

During October of 2005 (exact dates and times to be announced) both a World Festival of Neoism and a Conference about the present and future state of this century's Neoist Art is taking place at the Conservatory of the The Ontological Museum in conjunction with the Royal Embassy to Mexico and Central America of the Principality of New Utopia in Cuernavaca, Mexico, The International Post Dogmatist Group, The Fluxnexus, The International Society of Assemblage and Collage Artists and the Massurrealist Society of Mexico.

Everybody is kindly invited to forge Neoist artworks or performances. Although it is in no way necessary to know anything about Neoism in order to forge Neoist (anti-)artworks or to proclaim a Neoist manifesto you might appreciate some basic information on the subject...

It was in Portland, Oregon, USA in the late 70ies where Neoism emerged out of the Mail Art scene. Then, (anti-)art of the 80ies was heavily influenced by a number of Neoist Apartment Festivals. Neoism was defined as prefix and a suffix without anything in-between. The peak of historic Neoism was reached when an Art Strike was proclaimed by Karen Eliot in 1990. For three years no work of art was produced by Neoist anti-artists what eventually lead to the collapse of the art market in the early 90ies.

The central Neoist strategy is the use of multiple names, especially of "Monty Cantsin" and "Karen Eliot". Whoever uses these names becomes a Neoist. Whereas Monty Cantsin is conceived as multiple Pop-Star, Karen Eliot can rather be described as multiple signature for any form of (anti-)art.

In the year 2000, found abandoned and near death in a dumpster in Tepoztlan, Mexico, Neoism was taken over by and absorbed into the the International Post-Dogmtist Group (founded in 1987) as a subsidiary of the IPDG.

If you want to take part in this Latin American based Neoist World's Fair in October of 2005 (exact dates and times to be announced) please fill out this form and send it in (via e-mail or snail mail). We guarantee the acceptance of every single entry as long as there is enough space left in the Conservatory of the The Ontological Museum and time left in Oct. 2005. The only condition for the acceptance of (anti-)art works/performances is the use of the signature "Karen Eliot" and respectively the multiple name "Monty Cantsin".

ADMISSION FORM:

a) I want to take part in the "Neoist World fair" under the multiple signature "Karen Eliot" with a work of (anti-)art. I declare to agree
with my work bearing the signature "Karen Eliot" and being donated to The Ontological Museum, Cuernavaca, after the end of exhibition.
prospective title of work:

b) I want to use space and/or infrastructure of the The Ontological Museum during the month of October for the following anti- or non artistic activities under the name of Monty Cantsin: organizing discussions, holding political assemblies (illegal for foreign visitors), playing dominos, destroying Neoist art-works, eating, gluing posters to city walls, inventing bumper sticker slogans, etc.

c) I want to declare a Neoist manifesto (max. 5 min.) under the name of Monty Cantsin: prospective title of manifesto:

d) Could you arrange a reservation at Casa del Artista or otherwise finding a cheap accommodation for me?

My name:
Address:
City:
Country:
tel.No:
e-mail:
web site:

All (anti-)artworks can be handed over to The Ontological Museum - after prior announcement/arrangement via the form above - or can be installed by the respective Karen Eliots themselves during the Fair. The Ontological Museum guarantees the acceptance of every work of (anti-)art, performance/activity and paper. The artifacts generated for the Fair will be exhibited on line on the neoist.org website.

Please send the filled out form via email to The Ontological Museum or contact us for further information:
Monty Cantsin

Monty Cantsin contributes a Blood Performance to Berlin's Legal/Illegal artexhibit. The<a href="http://www.ngbk.de/"target=new> NGBK Gallery, apparently ignorant about the type of art featured in their own exhibition and the meaning of hypocrisy, called the police. The Police, as usual, play their part as Neoist performers perfectly, sending a 6'2" fashion model, armed and dressed in an authentic Polizei uniform, to the scene to interview the Neoists.
Neoismus: Marchart vs. Cramer
http://kommunikationsguerilla.twoday.net/stories/360386/

> -----------------------------------------------------------
> tell.net - Veranstaltungsreihe zur Netzkultur
> http://www.stuttgart.de/stadtbuecherei/tell_net/
> -----------------------------------------------------------
> Oliver Marchart

Good bye Neoismus?

http://kommunikationsguerilla.twoday.net/stories/360264/
Donnerstag, 14. Oktober
19.30 Uhr, Mörike-Kabinett
